I found a cover of your song “ride on” on youtube, and I wanted you to listen it, ’cause even if the quality is not the best, it’s a beautiful interpretation, and it gives a lot of emotion. Please let me know what you think!
I hope I can come to Ireland to attend one of your gigs!(or why not to come have a gig in belgium? 🙂 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWuGGh6Th1s

For those who are not Festival Hall London members, note that booking opened today for two Christy/Declan concerts on 17/18 April 2014. I bought my tickets this morning, at great expense, as a birthday present to myself. I will now have more than a year to look forward to the concert (always wonderful in that venue). Let’s hope we are all fit and well enough to see it happen………can’t wait.

Hi there. I’m not particularly comfy with computers….but I’m trying to contact Mr. Christy Moore. I’m a huge fan, but more to the point my Mum and Dad are and are celebrating their 50 year anniversary April 17th 2013. I hoped to chat to him about this if possible? It has special meaning…and I think this post goes out for everyone to see….so I’ll leave it at that. Em….not sure if I should leave a mobile?
Thanks ever so much.
Kind regards.
Just walked down to Woolwich Pier and back. There are huge cormorants there. Thanks to Farmer Michael Hayes (he’s not really a farmer) for the tip on the pre-sale for RFH next April. Have secured a place to sit myself in for both nights and will try and contain my excitement and keep it in the day. 🙂 xx

Hi Christy, I’m a 20 year old who’s been listening to Country and Folk since I was small. I’d just like to say that I’ve rarely found music that has had such a profound impact on me as the lyrics and meanings of each of your songs. I’ve cried (Scapegoats, They Never Came Home) and laughed through many of them and I’m lucky enough to be going to see you for the first time on Friday in Killarney. And I cant wait! Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for the endless hours of pleasure and happiness I’ve gotten from your music. See you on Friday. Anne
Christy's reply

Hi Christy, its great to have you and Declan back at the inec on Friday night. Its a strange night to be there, Good Friday but im sure it will be another concert to remember. Hello dear Christy, Hope you are well in this never ending winter. Snowdrops and budding daffodils are dressed in white again and it seems we’ll have Easter Snow this year.
Great to read all the enthusiastic comments here of your gigs during the last weeks. And you even sang Hurt again! Hopefully we’ll also get to hear this outstanding song when we are seeing you next time. Meanwhile we’re planning our return to the Island in May and have booked tickets for Ballinasloe and Dundalk. Now looking forward very much to listen to you and Declan live again. Unfortunately Vicar St is a bit too early for us.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter (without snow) and Best of Luck for Killarney, Traudel

Hello Christy, It’s been a few years since I was last on the site. There’s been a lot of changes in my life and it has taken some time for me to adjust and get back to my normal self again. Through it all though, your music, your songs have as always been an inspiration and great comfort to me. Do you remember I wrote that wee lyric ‘Cottage By The Sea’? I often recite it as it soothes me dearly. I’m coming to the Water Front on May 4th, my friend got me a ticket for my BIG 50th birthday which was this month. Am so looking forward to it as I haven’t seen you perform in a long time.
Take Care,
Mags x
