hi Christy
it seems quite incredible that it is 55 years since the release of Paddy on the Road.
I was in shorts, heading to primary 1 at Drumlanrig st Cuthbert’s primary, getting my green and gold cap chucked on the school roof by a big lad.
yet when i grew up to be a man i grew to enjoy the music of a man (by then a middle aged bloke) who seemed to meet my taste in music and political feeling that struck a chord….gradually infusing my kids with your sounds.
maturing into late middle age you have remained, steadfastly, a good few years older than me as the music has developed, and grown in style and range ,even more than i thought possible.
I suppose what i am saying is, well done on another album, it will be great to stick the vinyl on the turntable when it arrives.
Keep on keeping on Christy.
Keep lighting our lives with your sound, and continue the irreverence.

Hello Christy,
All this talk about Northern food is making me think about Kendal mint cake. Saw some in Settle and bought a tin. It’s still just as good as when I was a kid. I had a look at the ingredients. It’s solid sugar flavoured with peppermint oil. Healthy as well as delicious!
Glad to see Bourkey tamed klarna this time round and got his table booked for your last night. Hope to see lots of familiar faces ehen we’re there on 5th and 12th January.
You came up with a great list of Northern delicacies…
I’m also reminded to get a quarter of Uncle Joe’s mint balls…Wigans finest…as celebrated in song by M Harding Esq c 1971…good advice for Grannies everywhere…
Have a good day
Dave
Ps thanks for sorting my botched gig listings, yesterday!
Got my Cill Dare Lilly Whites ball cap on enjoying the sun while listening to my Little honda 50, which starts a run of your tunes while avoiding my to-do list. Enjoy the day

Amazing to see the gigs selling so well and so quickly. Never mind the Wolfe Tones- Christy in Croke would be a dream gig.. All settling here- keep taking the tablets as they say. Appointment with the hospital on Thursday morning and hopefully on the road to the Great Northern after that. Noibetter medicine than the songs and stories. Fingers crossed that the numbers add up. Sweet music, roll on💚
As a fellow Manc,I’ve been aware of Mike McGoldrick’s talents since he was a teenager…many moons later, his fame is worldwide as he embarks on a wide variety of projects. Recent gigs have been with his family.
I’ve just read gig listings that may be of interest to some readers here…

Hi Christie, just wanted to say myself and Emma had a fabulous time in Sligo earlier this month – we both have fallen in love with the restaurants and bars and music in the town and will be back to visit again soon – we were lucky with the weather and even went to the seaside too :-).
Thanks for the mention for us during your concert and playing Barrowland – a really special moment. We both really enjoyed the gig. Andy
Loving you new song. It’s so catchy! I was singing it most of the day yesterday, once I’d got my consonants the right way up. All respect to the women.
Fantastic, but not surprising to see the ” Full House” notices………..and no Ticket gouging either.
Congratulations…..all roads lead to H.Q.
Ride On,
Patsy

Here’s something from 2006. Declan does some lovely things here and doesn’t get a mention.
