Today I’m taking the Ma and Pa to Tagore festival for the poetry, songs and curry. It is the 100 year anniversary of Tagore’s Nobel prize ( a Bengali no less!). May I take this moment to wish you, the most noble of laureates, a happy birthday filled with family, cake and song. Xx

I am keeping my fingers legs and eyes crossed that I will not be tinn for béal an áth sluath.
Did you ever see a real gate crasher? I did at my communion party for the very first time.
There was a big guy ,an old woman picking her nose,a guy that needed braces and another guy that was drunk.Noone knew where they came from but they seemed to really like my music .I never knew what a gate crasher was.But I heard that this is what they are …REAL gate crashers .Mom said to Auntín siúbhán open the emergancy exit and point the way out to them ..but NO good they were glued to their seats. They wouldn’t even sing a song or dance or anything.
Hope you have a nice breithlá

What a brilliant Saturday night at the Waterfront. I think this was my 5th Moore/Sinnott Gig and each one different but magical. My first Gig was in the Ulster Hall and I will never forget it as it inspired me to write my ‘Tribute To Christy Moore’ and the Beechmount Gig inspired me to write my ‘Cottage By The Sea’. You are truly a big inspiration to me Christy, so much so that I was going to shout up and ask you if you’d marry me hahaha.
Best Wishes to you and Declan,
Mags x

Hi Christy,
I won tickets 2 years ago to see you in the Waterfront Belfast, it was a brilliant show as always.
I was disappointed though when we went into the Hilton afterward for a drink and you and your crew came in, when we waved and shouted over to you you totally ignored us.
I must say it was a total shock as we where the only people there and it wasn’t as if you where going to be mobbed.
I haven’t been to see you since.
Christy's reply

Happy Birthday, Christy – best wishes from Uwe and me. Go raibh maith agat for all you share with us – sweet music roll on !
