They’re coming from far and wide to Liverpool. The Waterboys did a great version of ‘Song of Wandering Aengus’ 2 weeks ago at the Phil, It would be good to hear your version for friends from Germany and Croatia. I hope the pleasure you give to others is mirrored for you and Declan.

if we find The Hazelwood tomorrow night we may venture in
Christy if the gig started 2 am it would not bother me,10 minutes late how very dare they complain,People these days want everything on time like trains and buses,Like phill Collins used to say you can’t hurry love,Shine on Geraint/granite.
Christy's reply
I should mention, for clarity, that the complainants in this case, numbered but a handfull….a tiny miniscule number who somehow got my goat with their rants….99.9% of our listeners are forever generous in their acceptance of the gigs…good to hear from you Geraint
Thanks so much to yourself and Declan for two wonderful performances at the RFH. My sons accompanied me: the eldest on Wednesday and my ‘baby’ (he’s 18 next week) on Thursday so I’m doing my bit to spread the word to the younger generations 🙂 Anyway….. beautiful songs and beautiful memories. Thanks again.
Wow great show – 1st time we’ve seen u – 1st time in rfh – u have a lovely stage presence and amazing vocal range – great guitar dec- amazing acoustics in hall
We loved it and will try and get tickets for Liverpool on Saturday night – c u there
Marvellous concert at Royal Festival Hall tonight. No wonder the crowd were on their feet. The very touching finale was a perfectly-judged tribute to another legend.

Well Christy… Cardiff on Monday was fantastic! I’ve been a fan for many years but it’s the first time I’ve seen you live. When I asked my wee boy, David, what he thought of it he said “He is a really nice nice guy.” !
Melanie says “Declan is Ace on the guitar, he really makes it sing” and “The sound man was really good too”
We watched the Barrowlands gig on vid when we got home cos we didn’t want the night to stop. (Had a few wee drinks too!)
Thanks. Your a star!
I did Christy indeed meet with Hil and Adam and Jackie which just added to the joy of it all. On a more fabulous note the fabulous Hil has secured for me a ticket for tonight. She has the power! I had thought I would spend an evening with cocoa and Sherlock but now I get to spend it with the souls who gather looking for that inexplicable something which I try and explain to people. They don’t get it Christy. But I know what I’m talking about. Xx
Christy, thanks for a fantastic gig at Southbank yesterday. Hearing the songs live (as they are meant to be heard) and listening afresh to the brilliant lyrics was a very touching experience. It reminded me of a long time ago when I came to Northern Ireland for a tree-planting task near Loch Erne with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and your music was played over and over again by the whole group. Also enjoyed just now listening to your interview with Janice Long on http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/janice#playepisode2
Hello! Thank you for a wonderful evening at the RFH. I cannot put into words how great it really was. I was there with my brother – the last time we saw you was maybe 25 years ago in The Hotel Westport…..I won’t be leaving at long again. My favourite was McIlhatton. Thanks again.
Great show last night. Really glad to hear Musgrave and Butterfly. I was quite near to Mrs Newbridge so she heard it alright. Would have liked to chat to her – another time another place.
I’ve seen you many times but I was absolutely blown away last night. I was in the front row with my Dad and cousin and we were captivated through every song. Gortatagort and Delirium Tremens were big highlights..See you at the Picnic.. Christine
Rfh tonight. Grateful if you say hello to Alisdair.

Hi Christy. Great gig at the RFH last night – from start to finish. One question. What was the title of the song Dec sang in his solo spot?
Christy
