I got a welcome surprise on your birthday… ‘Live in Dublin’ ordered ages ago from a well known mail order co.
Last heard on a knackered tape aeons ago, this remastered CD is a delight. Many of my all time favourites sounding sweet c/o you and companeros, Lunny and Faulkner. Hard to believe it was recorded in 1978 – and the dedication to new Juno made me smile…
A welcome shelf mate to ‘Early Years’, this is such a gem… ‘Bogie’s Bonnie Belle’ gets me every time… perfect playing of a wonderful, enigmatic song.
it must be cake time soon… (here, if not chez Moore!).
Dear C. Adding my voice to the Choir to wish you well on your Birthday, Many Happy Returns of the Day ,hope that you are being spoiled with cake and candles and visits, etc Go maire tú an céad , bliain ina dhiaidh, agus níos mó , chun aithrí !! Beir bua agus Beannacht go deo. H

Hiya m’dear. Many happy returns of the day: like me, your second in lockdown – so here’s hoping by next year’s we can both be out there on the razzle. Got a question to dip into your memory banks, but I’ll leave it until things settle down a bit here. Hope the family treats you well. Love & hugs.

Good morning Christy
A very happy birthday ! Many thanks for the NCH gig of last Saturday. We all enjoyed it very much.
Looking forward to normal times where we aren’t anymore in the stratosphere, but in the audience.
Enjoy your day !
All the best and many greetings

blessings for your birthday.
Today I´d like to share a small story. I´ve known your music since i was 15. My English-teacher had a love for the Irish and we had to learn Finnegan´s Wake – from that on i was under the spell of everthing Irish.
Took me till 2010 to be able to travel over, since then i do a trip once or twice a year – till corona. Took me even longer to see you the first and only time. On the 19. July 2018 we´ve been staying in Newtown Mount Kennedy, did a long hike at Glendalough and were totally sweaty – so we had to swim in the lake in order to get clean – we were the only ones in the great lake that day. After driving over the wicklow mountains we arrived maybe four hours before your gig in Athy – my girlfriend and i thought, thousands are waiting in a row. We saw you coming up – but i didn´t have the courage to go over… We were quiet in the first line, took the third row or so. However, your concert war fabulous and we had a great evening. Since that evening i listen to your music every single day and your songs are in my mind all the time.
On your birthday i want to thank you for all your art. You bring joy, power und love to me and so many people, i´m sure you changed the world or better the people.
Can´t await to see you on stage again.
All the best,
Michael
