good to meet you Graeme..there are various possible new albums but the horizon is away in the distance
Tonight’s gig was very enjoyable Christy, a really good mix of songs and I thought the sound in the hall was fantastic.
I’m reflecting on today’s events in a contemplative mood, as earlier today we laid to rest a very dear friend and colleague, who was taken from us far too young. You could not wish to meet a more kind, generous, funny and loving person than John Johnstone (JJ as he was affectionately known). An eloquent and moving tribute was made by our manager Bobby Dunn, who spoke beautifully on behalf of us all at today’s service, even though I know it would have taken so much for him to do this, so close was their friendship. Bobby’s words were still with me as I listened tonight, and the more reflective and poignant songs took on even greater resonance, changing the experience of the gig entirely.
I’ll be at the Barras tomorrow (tonight now, really!), as will Bobby. If you get the opportunity at any point, it would mean a lot if you could give John a mention, and Bobby for the beautiful tribute he made, and the courage it took to do so. Bobby is a massive fan of yours, so this would mean a great deal at a difficult time. I know you receive a lot of requests, and this is a late addition, so if it’s not possible then that’s totally understandable. Let the music keep your spirits high has never been so meaningful – it salved the soul just a little tonight. Much love. x
All here in paisley looking forward to the gig tomorrow night at the barrowlands. Place will be rocking..celtics 125th anniversary and defeating the catalan giants…perfect way to celebrate. Would be fitting for a rendition of ¡viva la quince brigad! from all the boys of the David Hay Celtic supporters club,Paisley. Frankie
Was at a festival for the Joe Strummer charity in the summer, got talking to a chap around the camp fire about your music. He invited me up to Glasgow to come see you at the Barrowlands under his hospitality. My coach leaves at 9am tomorrow morning. See you at 8, I cant wait. I’ll try to keep my drunken song requests to a minimum.

Howyers Christy/Declan?! Last saw you in 1995,at the Fleadh in Finsbury Park. Was able to get to the show tonight – was purely brilliant!! The two of you were amazing, and the audience were great.Loved hear loads of old favourites, but also some very new,and surprising additions – “How Long” blew me away!!!! Keep up the great work – hope the rest of the tour is as good for you as tonight was for me! All blessings to you!!! Hup!!!
We hear the tour is going great. What a great few days to be headin to Glasgow. They,ll be on some high in the Barras after Celtics result against Barcalona. So very disappointed here that it wasn’t possible to be there for the gigs this time but it just didn’t work out for us. big rumours here that Jim Mc Guinness is gonna take on a job with Celtics youth team as a Sports Psychologist…..who knows. Sure he wouldn’t be the first Donegal man to head to Glasgow for work !!
Hi Christy, Thank you for a fantastic gig tonight in Edinburgh. Have to say I felt you were up for it right from the off – and the crowd responded in kind. Lovely venue with a seriously good vibe.Set was interesting, you took some lovely twists and turns…and as always you brought us with you on the journey. Hard to pick a favourite which is a fair reflection of the performance….but if pushed I would say “Black is the Colour” was pretty powerful this evening…..That probably was me you spotted at Annie Road at the weekend, enjoyed the game even though the Reds are struggling and need as you put it an “injection” of some kind. Brought the nephew on the stadium tour before kick-off and it was brilliant. After walking up the tunnel, sitting in the dugout and standing in the Kop we got to meet and chat with the great Alan Kennedy for half an hour….I don’t know who was more excited the wee man or myself…LOL ! Anyway its onwards to Glasgow and Barrowland……Looking forward to the experience… Love & Respect Martin Mac

Christy..Just wanted to say thanks for the tickets that you left at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Tuesday night for the relatives of Father Pat Clarke…of which I am one…he is my wife’s uncle. Thought that you and Dec were superb, as ever, on Tuesday evening. I usually see you at the Phil in Liverpool but the Bridgewater is such a lovely hall and and loved the concert. Thought that the audience’s singing could have been a bit louder. Good luck for the rest of the tour (I am actually a Glasgow laddie myself and visit there about once a month…so good luck tonight in my home town!!!)
