It was sure a sad day to hear about your condition just when I was about to have a walk to theatre… But I really wish full recovering to you from here frosty north. And what I did first when I get here tonight? Bought tickets so I can be at your rescheduled gig at 1st Feb!
Now ginger, lemon, garlic, young maiden’s urine or whatever to make you back in shape. Hear you in two weeks, ok?

I’ll pass on the liquid but the other ingredients seem to be working….your original tickets are valid for the re scheduled gig…safe travelling

Hi Christy, Just to add to all the “Get Well Wishes” and I hope that your up and about again very soon. Glad to see it hasn’t affected your sense of humour in any way. Look after your good self and milk the attention for all it’s worth…… I did when I had my own bout of the “Man Flu” very recently – Gotta tell you though Christy it’s a pure hoor to shift… LOL !
Anyway all is well up here in the Hill’s at present. I’m looking forward to a trip away week after next with a group from the Club, we’re off to Morocco for some much needed recovery in the sun….. I’m planning to relax and to lie out for the week wearing nothing but a smile !!! Will send you postcard …Love & Respect and see you soon Martin Mac
Sorry to hear you’ve been laid low by the bug. Hope it wasn’t those horse burgers!! Take the opportunity to rest up and hope you recover fully and quickly.
Breaking news on the radio here this morning that John Ruddy – a victim of Duffy’s Cut – will be reburied in Ardara, Co Donegal on 2nd March. “The Blacksmith and holy sisters, good people through and through, Whispered prayers into the victim’s ears, It was all that they could do”. May they rest in peace.

Hi Christy
Wishing you a speedy recovery, really disappointed that today’s gig is cancelled but your health comes first. Unfortunately we can’t make the Feb gig as we go back home to Spain tomorrow so we’ll have to try and get back over for another time, unless you can find your way down our way (south of Spain)! Our best wishes and look forward to the next time!

Ps off to flicks to see the hobbit instead, won’t be the same!!

Sorry to hear that The Dose got the better of your voice, these things are out of our control and we have to let them take their course. It is a credit to you that you had attempted to go ahead despite not feeling well and never mind sure the gig will be all the better in February when the whole lot of us will have stopped coughing and spluttering!! :o)
Hello Christy. Hope you’re back doing what you do best asap. Just wondering could you possibly do me a favour. Ordinary man is one of my favourite songs of all time. Would you be able to translate the first two lines into Irish for me please? I have gotten a few translations already but they all seem to differ slightly. Was thinking I would try get the man himself to give his version and go with that you know. It would be much appreciated.
All the best.
