Hello Christy,
It sounds like it was a fabulous gig last night. Wish I’d been able to be there. Is there any chance of a setlist? I’ll be searching to see if anyone recorded any of it.

Hi Christy, another great gig! A mixture of old and new songs, songs from and for Shane, songs to listen to and songs to sing along, you making fun of yourself, meeting nice people from the security team onwards: impossible not to have a lot of fun and a good time 🙂
Thank you and your whole crew so much!
Have a good Christmas time, enjoy the gigs to come.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again in January (what a luxury for me…).
Birgit
Good Morning Christy.
It’s a wet and wild day in rural Warwickshire. Vishva and I are resting before our trip to Dublin to see you next Monday 11th December, as the final part of our celebrations to mark our 50th wedding Anniversary. This weekend is actually the 51st anniversary of when we met at a Christmas Party in a pub in Leicester. The Guardian wrote about it here. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2023/aug/17/how-we-met-i-walked-into-the-pub-and-saw-the-most-beautiful-woman. In my eyes Vishva is still as beautiful now as she was then. I hope all is well with you. I thought of you and the music you shared when I heard about Shane’s death. So sad. Anyway we are counting the days until our journey to Dublin and a chance to hear you play again. Your music has been one of the constants in our 50 years of love and friendship. Thank you. Take care. Tom and Vishva.
Hi Christy,
thanks so much for your answer. I m happy now and it ll make the year to be looking forward to a trip to Bundoran in autumn and be able to listen to you again. WOW! So I ll lit the candles that you will stay healthy and goin on. I ll try as well.

Hello Christy
I have a Tune for ya, came to me Friday night after a hard week and wee bottle of cheap whiskey. I had a wee bit of help to. Chords go G, Am, C ,G
Song
A good night heaven is all we can ask
When dance is floor empty and no one to dance
They’ve caught the last taxi for all that we see
When theres Angels and children laid out on tv.
For the men that go forward and talk to deceive
There are angles in heaven alined to receive
They sang there last songs on the road to romance
And we were all staring to witness their dance
A story is told in the words of the bold
No notice of music alive in the old
There’s truth to be had our feelings so sad
Illusive to those that are gripped by the bad
A good night in heaven is all we can ask
When the dance floor is empty and no one to dance
To take a wrong turn in pursuit the right
Is a danger to all in the dark of the night
A candle does burn and you know it is there
When the wee ones are laughing with not but a care.
And we’ll correct the wrong course that we find that were on
When enough of the good open up to the song
And to hear the last call is fate to us all
In the Dance floor in heaven you’ll not find a wall.
ITS FOR US TO REMEBER ALL WHAT WE SEE
WHEN THERES ANGELS AND Wee’ uns LAID OUT ON TV
And in a Good night heaven is all we can ask when the dance floor is empty and no one to dance,
For all the tickets where sold in dark 23 for all the Angles and Weans laid out on TV.
There’s aplace in this world where the music don’t play
And it’s a shame for those men that they’ve ended this way,
for they won’t get a ticket to their final dance
it’s down in the dark that they’ve found their romance.
A Good night in heaven it’s all we can ask when the dance floor is empty with no one to dance
THEYVE CAUGHT THE LAST TAXI FOR ALL THAT WE SEE
Whilst ANGELS and Children are laid out on TV
Ps. I also have a painting that was inspired by you a few years back I went to see you in London i ment to get it to you, its called the Balladeering Bull and has been on exhibit here. It’s currently in my studio above Hendersons music Derry so if you ever passing let me know.
Have always been a big fan!

Hi Christy, I had the great privilege to spend another few days in Dublin, meeting friends who made me sing again, this time in Cullen’s (as they had sung Ordinary Man already, I tried Quinta Brigada and I hope that I didn’t do too much harm to that beautiful song 😉 ). Looking forward to the next highlight to whatever songs you let us hear and sing tonight 🙂

Morning Christy,
When 26 become 32 and the barras resound to the sound….
I drink to the death of her manhood, those men who would rather have died
Than to live in the cold chains of bondage to bring back their rights were denied
Where are you now when we need you, what burns where the flame used to be?
Are you gone like the snows of last winter will only our rivers run free….
Meantime , it was great to hear this in Kilkenny, (Bellaghy,) Tullamore, Killashee, Cork, Bundoran, Derry, Carlow, Clonmel and all points west of ‘the mainland’ where the quarehawks suck the wee small birds eggs dry

Hi Christy,
The cheek of me to call you Christy. My apologies.
My own name is John and I teach kids in a primary school in Cork. I know this is a silly response, but I wanted to reach out.
I teach some kids guitar and we’re organizing a Christmas market where we raise funds for the school and people in need (I.e. Cork Penny dinners)
If you were by some miracle, passing Cork city – and by another miracle I could convince you to play: I’ll donate my weeks wages to Gaza.
Also, I know this is a ridiculous request, but if I had to live again, I would ask the same question.
John, cork
I never pass Cork City John….always go right in to the very heart of it…
